Mars aux Arcs with the "Alta Gang"

This trip was under the sunniest sky we could have in WINTER
They arrived on the 4th of March to Bourg Saint Maurice, via Lyon, the evening before ( for a good restaurant in the famous gastronomy capitale or the convenience of Satolas airport?) and we met together for a big hug before I left to teach ski < www.SPIRIT 1950.COM> and they afford the top of Aiguille Rouge and a late lunch at "Belliou la Fumée. On the 5th we were skiing to Val d'Isère and had late lunch at "La Table d'Edmond" then on the sunday we were skiing Les 3 Vallées getting our departure from the valley at Brides les Bains then we were skiing to join Saint Martin de Belleville ... and a magnificent spot "La Bouitte" a warm and delicious restaurant with a great landscape all around. Monday our trip was to Italia, leaving from La Rosière ski resort, crossing by the col du Petit Saint Bernard, the top was windy and foggy as crazy... but... near the old monastery you could find a "café" where the special hot chocolate is so thick and tasty that Stuart found it with closed eyes just by smelling.... ( he is a chocolate ADDICT), we were down to La Thuile by the pistes and the trail to have lunch ( one more) at Pepita Café, the menu, for anorexic people, Italian "charcuterie" homemade pasta with truffles and a so big dessert I could not finish mine, the local white wine from a close vineyard in the " Val d'Aoste" ( all this part of North West Italia is French speaking as well than Italian) was just as great as the menu. On Monday evening one more meal "Chez Merie" an old and charming house where my friends Elisabeth and Marie Merie own a restaurant and the whole gang never missed a rendez vous in this village Le Miroir. The best time has to finish and Tuesday was the last day with our american friends. We had ski in Les Arcs from the top of Aiguille Rouge 360° view around on the Alps mountains around and Eric Charamel: www.Chalet-Boern.Com, our friend and Guide knows all of them by their names and how you can join the bottom and where we could ski or not, and how long it took to get the different itineraries ( for normal people, not for me I am the worst walker in the whole mountain) and "The End" an happy one for sure for lunch at "Belliou la Fumée" on the sunny terrasse with Annie, Jean Pierre and their team taking care of us. Then Bye bye, see you next year. All these guys are disciples of EPICURE....
